Lasting Powers of Attorney

There are two types of Lasting Powers of Attorney – Property and Financial Affairs & Health and Welfare

You can only make a Lasting Power of Attorney when you have mental capacity to do so and not when you have lost mental capacity – that is why it is so important to do it sooner rather than later when it then becomes a Court of Protection and is extremely costly.

Deputyship Applications

A Lasting Power of Attorney would not be able to be made by someone who has already lost mental capacity.  Therefore if you need to gain control of a friend or relative’s financial matters or welfare issues on their behalf, then please contact KSI Legal in respect of an application to the Court of Protection for you to act as a Property and Affairs Deputy/and or Welfare Deputy.
